Formula Drift

It is with pride that Hankook Tire America has been engaged with Formula Drift and will enter its 5th season in 2010.

Much has changed since our initial sponsorship efforts. Hankook has had much success and accolades throughout our successive years.

The US campaign has been in correlation with our unique and highly ranked Ultra High Performance Tires advancements. Throughout the years, there have been several leap-frog pattern evolutions: Ventus Z211, Ventus R-s2 Z212, and Ventus R-s3 Z222. Each with Hankook’s unique blend of strength, tolerance, durability, and grip, our sponsorships and teams had greatly benefited.

For 2010, Hankook Tire will return to sponsor our roster of teams with our Ventus R-s3 Z222 UHPT pattern. With 2009 already in the books, where the Z222 helped our drivers to 6 podiums in 7 season races, the Z222 has proven its mettle in one of the most demanding environments for a compound. 2009 was our best drift campaign, ever. We humbly hope that 2010 will be even better.

We thank the organizers and our numerous partners in this highly competitive and professional motorsports market. We also thank our partner teams and drivers- their talents and skills help all of us make it happen.

You can experience excellent handling and cornering performance by minimizing deformation of shoulder tread by setting up reinforced nylon cover around the corner which endures the highest load in cornering. Moreover, we reduce the problem that the load on the shoulder is weighted due to the air pressure is relatively low in case of products which pursue Fast LapTime. In case of high camber setting vehicle, it reduces partial side wear and unusual wear of inside tread.
